Hello,
I’ll be in Sicily in October and wanted to know if i should purchase the ticket to visit the temples in Agrigento ahead of time or possibly the day of my visit mid October?

I don't think you will have any problem purchasing tickets on the day of your visit -- especially in October. We visited just this past May and waited in a very short line for not even 5 minutes. As we had very poor weather during our 2+ weeks in Sicily, I was glad to make my purchase on the optimum day weather-wise. If we had bought them ahead it could have been on a very stormy day. Have a nice trip.

Agree, we were there September, 2022, and easily bought tickets on site. Highly recommend going at dusk. It was a beautiful, awesome, experience!

In addition to the Temples, you might want to visit the archeological museum. Various artifacts from the Temples are on display, including an original Telamon statue, huge and impressive! Buon viaggio!
