agoriturism vs private villa/apartment in Tuscany

We are family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids - 3 yr & 5 yr boys ) will be traveling to Tuscany for 3 nights. I like Arezzo/pienza area. Based on the suggestions here we found a place via Agriturismo.it which looks okay but pricey. Breakfast and Dinner would be included I believe. I can take cooking class. There are some animals in the farm and there is a pool. Do produce their olive oil and flour. I enjoy personal connection with people but also nervous kids disturbing other guests who will be sharing different apartments within the same property. Everyone dine in together.
On the otherside, I see really great deals on airbnb for entire apartment or villa with pool. They look much better and has swimming pool and about $200-$300 cheaper. I am sure if I really want a cooking class, I can sign up somewhere else.
I am torn on deciding how the experience will be different and what should I choose. please suggest.

Hmmm. Agroturismo is designed for kids. Why would they be more disruptive there than in a private villa? Kids love animals. We did the agroturismo in 2011 with my kids. Although they were 22, 22, 25, they loved the animals.

We'd like to find an agriturismo for our family of 10 --- 6 adults and 4 kids --- that has the amenities you described. Can you please post the name of the agriturismo. We're looking at Tuscany or Umbria. Thanks very much. Arlene

" I like Arezzo/pienza area." - They are not particularly close to each other, and there are other areas besides. With young children, I'd opt for an agriturismo. Check your website again, some agriturismos have swimming pools and offer more of a private rental on the premises, with the option of not having to take part in communal dining. Also check https://www.agriturismo.net/

Many agriturismos do not advertise on either website. Google Map a town/village and zoom in. I never stayed here but once was in contact with its friendly owners about a possible rental, close to the lovely small village of Casole d'Elsa: https://www.poderemonti.net/apartments.html
