Afternoon tours in Rome and Florence; restaurant near Vietri Sul Mare

Hi everyone, we will be on a guided tour trip from September 27-Oct. 9, Florence-Rome-Amalfi coast. I am looking for afternoon tours or places to visit during our free time in Rome and Florence. Most of the tours appear to be in the morning, but we won't be free until afternoon. Also, I would love some restaurant suggestions for the Amalfi Coast, our hotel is in Vietri Sul Mare, and I'm looking for a special place for dinner on my birthday.
Thanks!

Which places will you be visiting during your guided tours? It's hard to give guidance if we don't know what you will have already seen. What interests you? Ruins, churches, art museums...

You can go on a food tour.

For example, during your free time in Rome, you can visit Basilica of San Clemente, Capitoline Museum, Galleria Doria Pamphilj, Borghese Gallery; Castel Sant' Angelo, etc.
