We will be in Venice Sept 30th for two nights. I am looking for some suggestions for reasonable accommodations. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
We're staying at Kosher House in the Jewish Ghetto - http://www.pardesrimonim.net/ You don't have to be Jewish to stay there. It isn't dirt cheap ($158/nt for two people) but it was a good compromise for us between price and consistently good reviews, cleanliness (and not run-down), simple breakfast included. It's also relatively close to the train and close to a boat stop for the boat from the airport.
By Venice Standards, Hotel Bel Sito is pretty reasonable. I stayed there a few years ago, and it's very charming and nicely situated, close to St. Mark's square, as well as on it's own little charming square across the square from a sweet little church.

check out Hotel Ala - go to their website for the best rates even though this is a Best Western. 3 stars, has its own vaporetto stop, 5 minutes to San Marco or Accademia. Best breakfast in Italy. I stay there a week every year - obviously I'm a fan!
I have twice stayed at Casa del Melagrano. It's just off the Grand Canal at the San Marcuola vaporetto stop and also a short walk to Strada Nova. Prices are around the Euro 100-150 depending on number of people and room. You can book direct with them or with Venere or Hotels.com
We stayed at San Salvador. Small rooms but very clean and a perfect location near Rialto Bridge.
Two trips to Venice and another coming up this Sept - we stayed at Al Campaniel B&B...our room has a separate but private (locked) bathroom for 78 (or 73)euro a night for a double. Just a 30sec walk down an alley off the San Toma stop, so super convenient, and a chocolate shop across the 'street' (well, there was the last 2 times). And I was really happy with the breakfast as well...cereal, juice, toast/rolls/croissants(with lemon filling)/jam/honey, milk, coffee/tea...Marco is a really nice guy, and I've been happy with our stay - he even let us keep our luggage in a locked closet after check-out and gave us a spare key as our flight out was really late the first time(saving $$ instead of having to leave our stuff at the train stn - we didn't even have to ask, he just offered)), and we arrived by train really early the 2nd time, like, 8am, no prob - just kept our stuff in the office til later on.
Hotel Canada, right in Venice, near the Rialto Bridge. I stayed there in Sept. 2009 and it was 100 Euros a night for two of us. GREAT morning coffee, awesome location. Super small rooms...but that's one of the charms of Venice! :)
What does "reasonable" mean to you in terms of dollars or euros?
