Any suggestions for a) a good location for a 3 night stay in Rome and b) any particular places that are reasonably priced? Thx. We will be there in May.

In September, I stayed at Hotel Panda which is located about 2 blocks from the Spanish Steps (http://www.pensionepanda.com/page2.htm). It was my only "non-Rick Steves" hotel of my trip, so I was kinda nervous - but I ended up being really happy with it. I found the location and rates to be unbeatable (68 euro for a double with shared bath). If you want to know more about the hotel just private message me. Bon voyage!
