Hello!
Leaving for Italy 8/25. We are staying 2 nights in Positano and then traveling to the island of Lipari for 2 nights... Any travel tips for the fastest best way to get there? We've found the SNAV (I believe that's what it's called) is super expesive and we arrive at 7pm and have only 1 day there and then have to leave again at 7am the next morning...! Just wondering if anyone has any better ideas, or knows something that we don't.. Thanks, so excited!

Actually I think we have to take the SNAV from Naples, which is fine, just wondering if there are any other ways to get there. Thanks in advance :)

Siremar Lines runs an overnight ferry from Naples to Lipari. www.siremar.it Website is mostly in Italian.

Have you looked into flying from Naples to Sicily. Meridiana, Air-One, Alitalia all have flights that could get you to Sicily in a couple of hours. It seems with the little time you have that you will not want to spend it on a train.
