We will be going to Sicilian May and would like to visit the Aeolian Islands and Egadi Islands but only have 17 days; we will be relying on public transportation My question is, should we plan on doing both or just one and if so which?? The Egadi seem easier to get to by the port of Trapani however, the Aeolian seem more difficult because our plans are to stay in Palermo, Trapani and Syracusa/Ortigia in order to have easy access to the the other towns we are considering. We are open to suggestions and our lodging plans are not yet set in stone so were are open to change. Thank you
