We are ready to purchase ticket to Rome
PleAse advise on trip from Rome to Ravello. We would like to arrive in Ravello no later than 5:00. We are hoping to spend the morning walking around the Pantheon, Spanish steps and St.Peters Square. Our hotel is a 30 min. walk from the Vatican. I know we must train to Salerno, ferry to Amalfi and then Catch a bus to Ravello.
Questions:
1. Initially I had thought of booking a train at 2:00 which gets to Salerno at 4:15 . Is this too late , should we look at booking an earlier train.? If so what time? We do have our hotel reserved in Ravello already and I would like to arrive early enough to get settled and have dinner at the hotel.
2. It appears that the ferry is a close walk . Should we book the ferry in advance or can we wait and book a ferry ride when we arrive?
3. How much time should we anticipate waiting for the bus in Amalfi that will take us onto Ravello?

It's a 10 minute walk from the Salerno station to the Concordia dock. For a google map enter Salerno Travelmar Ticket. Buy ticket on site. In Amalfi the bus stops are right at the end of the wharf.
