Traveling to Italy in May and spending a week in the Tuscany area before returning rental car to Rome where we will spend another week. While we have the car, we are thinking about visiting Hadrian’s Villa prior to returning car. We are staying in Trastevere and plan to take a cab after drop-off. We have read that it might be best to return the car near Tiburtina and getting cab from there as opposed to returning to FCO since it will be a cheaper taxi fare and I understand there are multiple car rental agencies in the area. Please feel free to offer a different or better suggestion. Also, does anyone know if there are cab stands in the area or is it ok to ask the car rental place to call us a cab? Thank you for any advice you can provide on this (or on visiting Hadrian’s Villa if you’d like).
