Advice for meeting traveling companion at FCO

My daughter and I are flying from SLC to FCO and arrive at 820 am. My sister is flying nonstop from BOS to FCO and arrives at 715 am. We are both flying on Delta. She is 80, travelling alone, and will require some wheelchair assistance as she does have issues when walking. She uses a cane normally. Will the wheelchair assistant accompany her through the customs and passport check? if so, is there a place for her to wait after that? She won't need further assistance once she gets through all the checkpoints, but she will need a safe place to sit and wait for us to meet her. My question is where would be the best place for us to meet up with her? Thank you.

There is a small amount of seating in baggage claim, which you reach after passing through immigration. But what is different about FCO is that you exit the plane into the gate area, as opposed to being in quarantine until you reach immigration. From what I just experienced, the entire E gates area is available to de-planing international arrivals, which you walk through on the way to immigration. You would have to inquire with the assistance service to see whether they would permit you to meet up with her in the gate area.

If she has wheelchair assistance, after leaving baggage claim, I seem to remember a coffee shop or similar near the bathrooms and ATM by exit 1. She could wait there. Assuming you're both coming into terminal 3
