Will be based in Siena for 4 nights, June 1-5 and want to rent a vehicle for 3 days to explore Tuscany. 3 adults and 2kids. Advice PLEASE on what company and location to get rental. We are staying near the Baptistry.
We always book thru AutoEurope.com -a US based consolidator with excellent customer service
We include Full insurance/No Deductible for peace of mind
Filter by type if transmission you need -Automatic or Manual
See what they offer
Rental agencies are closed on Sunday, close around noon on Saturday and closed mid day 12-4ish on weekdays so be sure to put pick up/drop off times during open hours or search will return no results
The agencies in Siena are not up in the town but down below near tran station
All drivers must have an IDP-International Driving Permit -required by law
Get at your local AAA for about $20
You will be refused the rental without this although not all agencies ask for it the police will if you are stopped for any reason. Fines are high
Have a designated driver if you intend to wine taste, much stricter in Italy than US
Make sure you do your homework on driving in Italy-ZTLs, parking, speed cameras, tolls
Know where you will park-does your lodging offer?
Will you need car seats for the kids?
I have tried that site and it is saying not available
Popped right up for me
Maybe try again, check your spelling or try a different browser
Also try AutoEurope.eu
Thx…I changed the drop off time and it worked
Oh! You meant it was saying car not available?
Yes pick up and drop off time matters ;)
I kept having same issue a few rentals ago and finally had a DUH moment!
