Advice about Florence for stay during end of August

We will be staying at a b&b from Sunday afternoon August 25! through Wednesday morning August 28 before going to daughters wedding in Chianti! Our top priorities are Ufffizzi, Academia & Galileo Museum! Since we have limited time as well as due to some mobility issues in heat, would tours be recommended?
Any additional recommendations?

Not sure a tour would be helpful since these are single destinations. You should make advance reservations for the Academia. You could do Academia in the AM -- really doesn't take that long - the art museum in the pm. The Uffizzi is really a function of how long can you can or want to wonder around a huge art museum.

We traveled last June to Florence and two people in our group had mobility issues. I wouldn't recommend a tour as you are typically on someone else's time schedule, especially since all these museums can be visited individually. For the Uffizi, I would recommend an early entry. RS has a great audio guide with a nice break in the middle at the rooftop cafe. Our group only went the Academia to see David (and the musical instruments), focusing on the must sees and that helped us manage the mobility challenges as well.

Have a great trip. Enjoy Florence and congratulations on your daughter's wedding.
