My adult daughter and I are going to Sicily and Sorrento in mid May. In Sicily, we are doing independent tour hiring drivers. One of the included sites is taxi to Monreale for about 1.5 hrs. in the afternoon and back to Palermo. Should we buy tickets in advance since we dont have much time and definitely want to see the Duomo. Also, we booked a transfer from Palermo to Ortigia with stop at Agrigento and Villa Romana del Casale. I dont know the timing- any suggestions appreciated. Thank you

If you can buy tickets in advance then it’s a good idea. It’s a popular site and will likely have crowds.
This transfer to Ortigia though… there’s no way you could do this and make these to stops in one day. It’s several hours drive between each of these places, they’re not on the same route. This would basically be a full day’s drive without stopping. So, we’re missing something here. Is there an overnight stay somewhere? If not, there needs to be. Both those sites will take a couple hours to see. I’m surprised (and maybe a little suspect) of your driver if they’re agreeing to this.
