We will be in Venice for 3-days on our own in August before meeting our tour group. I read about purchasing museum tickets before we leave to avoid long lines, but I'm not sure which site is best. I found this one http://www.veneziaunica.it/en/e-commerce/services
and they have a package that includes 3-day ACTV/vaporetto and museum passes. Cost is 80,90 Euros. We had planned to buy the vaporetto 3-day pass when we arrive. This would be much easier.
What do you think?
There are few comments about this. Go to the Search bar above and search for Venice City Pass and/or Unica pass
The link indicates that products booked online still have to be picked up at sales points in Venice, so I see no reason not to just buy it there. Museum ticket-buying lines are not particularly long for most sights in Venice, so look for the pass that most closely seems to save money for your plans. The longest line is for Basilica San Marco and the best way around that is a cheap, time-specific reservation; or maybe your group will go in together.
Thanks Laura. Appreciate your help.
