Advance tickets to attractions in Italy

We are taking two 14 year old girls to Italy/France in March. We are staying in Rome, Florence, Venice, and Paris. Which attractions would you advise getting advance tickets to? Or is this an ok time of the year to not need any?
Thanks!

I would suggest entry tickets or a tour of the Vatican museums and the colosseum. http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do?weblang=en&do http://www.ticketclic.it/Gb/HTML/musei/colosseo.cfm Both will allow you to bypass the line which can be hours long even in the off season. If you are going to the Borghese gallery you'll need to book a reservation for that as well. http://www.ticketeria.it/ticketeria/borghese-regolamento-eng.asp If you decide you don't want to book tickets you can try going to the Vatican museums in the afternoon. There is usually little to no line after 1 pm or so. For the colosseum, you can buy entry tickets at the forum entry. The line here is usually shorter than at the colosseum. Donna

Debbie, I doubt that you'll have any problem getting tickets to attractions in March. However, it would help to have some idea which attractions you're planning to visit? It would probably help to pre-book your visit to the Eiffel Tower online. If you're planning to visit the Galleria Borghese in Rome, pre-booking is mandatory. Don't be late for your appointment or they'll sell your tickets (I know, as I obtained a ticket for my last visit there from a "no show"). Happy travels!

In Florence, you might want to get tickets to the Accademia (Michelangelo's David) and to the Uffizi Gallery. I'm not sure how crowded they will be at that time of the year but it would save you from standing in line waiting to get in. I'm sure the RS guide has info on booking these tickets. We prebooked when we went to Florence and were able to bypass very long lines for both sites.
