The Adriatic coast of Italy spans about 1200 km. Is there a particular section you are focusing on? If not, my recommendation would be to consider Puglia, especially between Vieste and Lecce.
The Adriatic coast is very long from north to south, like 13 hour drive from top to bottom, so you need to curb your enthusiasm and narrow down your focus on a smaller portion of it.
Puglia has probably the best beaches, but I would extend my interest even south of Lecce. Otranto and the rest of Salento is great.
Narrow it down for us--north, central, or south.
Thank you for your responses, they have been very helpful in planning our trip.
Well, we didn't really get that far into the conversation, but good luck!
