There is free admission for children UNDER 6 in many museums in Italy. My son IS 6, (turning 6 2 weeks before our trip) and I am not sure if I need to pay admission for him (want to buy them in advance to save time in line). I sent an email to the Uffizi and they sated that is free for children UNDER 6, and full price for children OVER 6... Not sure which group my son falls under... How do they verify age, do they ask for passports?
Let's see, I'll have a go. My arithmetic isn't very good.... If your son is 6 years old and 2 weeks, is that under 6 years? To me 6 years + 2 weeks is greater than 6 years. To me, being over 6 years means he's not under 6. I would have thought being under 6 years would have meant, say, 5 years and some weeks. Sounds to me like your little man has grown up some and now you have to pay the over 6 child price. Sorry.
