Adding to RS Tuscany tour

We are signed up for a RS tour that starts in Florence and ends in Lucca. We will be going from Florence to Chianti, Pitigliano, Maremma, Volterra and end in Lucca. We plan to arrive a day early so that we are ready to go with the group. We will probably fly into and out of Florence but we haven’t booked tickets yet. My question is if we add a day or two at the end, where or what should we do? Any thoughts? Has anyone been on this tour? Thanks

If Siena isn’t on your tour I recommend that you spend several days there. From Siena you can explore the charming Chianti villages such as Radda, Castellina, Greve, Panzano and more.

Since you will be focusing on Tuscany for 11 days during your tour, maybe choose something that feels different. And, you may find it cheaper to fly in & out of Malpensa (Milan).

Lucca to Montecatini Terme is just a 30-minute train ride, and it’s in the direction towards Florence.
Lucca to Monterosso (Cinque Terre) for time at the water is 2 hours by train.
