Add extra night in CT or florence/tuscany

I have never been to the Cinque Terre..So I am not sure how much time to give..However..I have the choice to do the following:
Cinque Terre-Arrive midday on a Saturday and stay Saturday+Sunday night..Leave for Tuscany on Monday and stay until Saturday...Doing Florence+Tuscany
or Add an extra day in Cinque terre so we would be there Saturday afternoon until Tuesday morning..Leaving us with Florence/Tuscany Tuesday night to Saturday morning.
Adding in that we will be staying in a B+B in tuscany and meeting my friends/doing day trip+ wanting to see Florence..
Any suggestions if I should add the extra day in Cinque Terre..The dates will be August 20th..So it will be most likely be beach weather...

only you can decide if you want to spend more time in the CT region. However if I understand your itinerary correctly you have 1 full day and the afternoon of another. If you just want to relax on the beach that's fine; if you're thinking of hiking the trail I'd add another day so you can do the hike in 2 parts and not be rushed, still having time each (of the 2 full days) for the beach. Keep in mind, too, that weather in Europe can be unpredictable and while most of August will be sunny and warm, you could hit the windy or rainy day. Adding a 2nd full day increases your chances of good weather.

edit: I see you're thinking of the last train out Monday. That would give you pretty much another day in CT. However if you want to see more of the region you could take the train north one day from CT (if you add an extra day) and go to Santa Margherita Ligure and/or Portofino (the latter involves a bus or taxi too).

I wouldn't suggest staying an extra night, the amount of time that you have planned for the CT is fine. See more of Tuscany.

Yeah maybe we will just take the latest train out possible on Monday...That should work..I myself will be spending alot more time at my friend's villa after my mother leaves on that Saturday..So I guess letting her see more of Tuscany/Florence is better.

Susan- I was there (CT) a year ago, arriving mid-day Sunday and heading out Tuesday noon-time. Personally, I would stay another night in the CT. The best food we had in Italy was there and the atmosphere is very relaxing!

Well my sister said she might tag along for the trip and she would have to leave on Wednesday or hoepfully Thursday..So if we stayed an extra night we wouldnt get to Tuscany until Tuesday evening, only giving her until Thursday to then have to get back to Pisa Airport..I might play it by ear and if i go and they have an extra night and she doesnt come we'll stay...I have to work with about 4 people's schedules..grrrrr..lol

Thanks for your help..Well I am trying to work with my mother who has never been there,my sister who can"t make up her mind if she will go until the last minute,my friends who run the villa we are visiting, and my ex-boyfriend who lives there whom I am supposed to meet up with after that week's bonanza!..madonna!..
We would arrive in Cinque Terre Saturday around 4pm and Depart Monday around 4pm...thats the story as of now...If I add another day and my sister(procrastinator) decides she wants to come last minute..We'd head to Tuscany Tuesday morning and she'd have to be back in Pisa for her flight on Thursday(mother leaves Saturday, and I am staying for a month)..I'm just hoping if we are stuck with Saturday-Monday afternoon it won't be too rushed...I'm in charge of planning because my sister is doing her wedding plans and my mother has never been there..
