I am bringing my hair dryer with me to Italy. It can be switched from a 125 voltage to a 250 voltage. I understand it may not work as effectively, but still intend to bring it. Do I need just an adapter or both an adapter and a converter? (we aren't staying in hotels and even if we were, I can't use the hairdryers provided!)
thanks for the quick response... I take a lot of "heat" for bringing a hair dryer on vacation, but then when you don't have wash and wear hair, what are you to do!
If you still have your owner's manual, it should tell you if you are to turn it on 'high' or 'low'; I have two at this time - one is to be used on 'high', and one is to be used on 'low'...You can search for a manual online if you've lost yours; just search with your make/model and model number. Note: it is not uncommon to see NO outlets in the bathrooms; be prepared with a mirror (if needed) that you can balance on a dresser, bed, etc. I've had to get quite creative ;-)
