Hello,
I am going to Sicily in October and trying to find active outdoor activities for a young man (21+). I have the hike on Mt. Etna.
What do you suggest for Palermo and Siricusa?
Thanks in advance!

No, but I would suggest the Massive above Cefalu- it's almost totally straight up and the sheep will be curious as to why you are doing this.
Also, the hike up to Enrice for an incredible view(if you're lucky) of Tunisia.
Thanks, I’ll check them out.
It's Erice you'll want to check out.
The Zingaro Nature Reserve is a great hike along the coast near Scopello — which is also near the previously mentioned Erice.
From the island of Lipari you can take a boat to the volcanic island of Stromboli, and hike up the mountain for a close view of the eruptions, which happen regularly.
Thanks! I was told not to go to Lipari at the end of October because the weather is iffy then. I’ll see how it is when we are there. Maybe we could go on a day trip. So much to see and do and not enough time.
The Lipari trip would likely require 2 overnight stays, as the trip to Stromboli takes most of the day. The hikers get to the top near sundown so they can see the eruption at night ... happens about every 15 minutes. Spectacular. Then the boat returns to Lipari. But yes, so many things to see ... so little time!
I guess after this trip we will just have to come back. Someone mentioned Cliff Diving. I wonder if the weather and water temperature will be good the end of October.
