Accomodations in Vieste/Peschichi on the Gargano Peninsula

We (family of 4) will be on the peninsula in mid-late June for a few days. Any suggestions of places you'd recommend?
Thank you!

Jeanne, In Vieste I would definitely recommend This Hotel. The room wasn't "posh" but very comfortable, and they have a great location with ocean views. After viewing the video on their website, I was really looking forward to staying there! Happy travels!

I stayed 2 days at hotel Seggio on a Rick Steve's tour. Well located, not far from centre of town. Has its own beach and a pool and a good restaurant. Be aware however, that the owner has a thing about people not bringing food into the hotel - although we did but very discreetly and disposed of the evidence outside the hotel. So if you were planning on using the local produce market (you can try so much food there you won't need a meal!) or a supermarket you might be out of luck. Rooms are large, bathroom and shower was large (in Italy a treat!). Vieste is a lovely, lively town. Grab a seat at a cafe on the main street in the evening and watch the world as takes its evening walk for the cost of a gelato. Take a boat trip out to visit the various caves and grottos around the coast.

Hi Jeanne, we lived in Sand Dollar & los Gatos for several years before moving to La Jolla. We have been to Italy over 15 times, have stayed at Seggio 3 times, loved it, & is my very favorite.. Beach town in all of Italy. Reminds me of my family & growing up. Very Authentic. This is NOT Las Vegas, it's the Real Italy.
Have Fun,....Vito

Thanks so much. Sadly Hotel Seggio is booked and requires a 3 night minimum. Anyone else have suggestions? Perhaps in Peschichi? Looks like some of the hotels in Vieste are big, big commercial, not the kind of experience we were looking for.
