The Danieli is gorgeous and located right at the mouth of the Grand Canal by St. Mark’s square but it’s very expensive. However, if you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member the ratio of points required for a free night to the price for a night is very attractive, so consider using points if you have them. Good luck!

More information please. What is “good”? When? How many people? Price range (in € per night)? Just one night? Or more? Where to next—train or plane?

Historic Venice is safe.

Rates vary a lot by time of year. You haven't told us when you're traveling.

Rates vary between single rooms, double rooms and larger rooms. I'm guessing you're traveling solo, but you haven't specified that.

I'd suggest doing an initial screening on booking.com to see what is available for your specific date. Reviews on booking.com are usually reliable; you can't review a lodging there if you haven't stayed at the property. Use the filters to specify your basic requirements--things like a private bathroom, air conditioning if you're traveling when it conceivably could be hot, etc.

This will give you an idea of how far your money will go. In the busiest months of the year, your options will be more limited than they'll be if you're traveling in March or November.

Going to Venice the last week of September prior to a cruise for 3 days. Need recommendations for lodging for 4 in our late 60's to early 70's women. Hotel or apartment better? Would like to keep it under $1,600.00 total. Also best transportation from the airport into Venice

I'm also seeking advice re lodging for 3 nights end of March 2025. I'll be traveling with my two intrepid teens, arriving from Milan via train. I'd prefer very little transfers, pay under $200/night, and stay in a historic area with plenty of hustle and bustle. Thanks!
