We like Palazzo Olivia (www.palazzo-olivia.com). It is located between Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori, a 25 minute walk to the Vatican and 25 minutes to the Colosseum. There is a major bus stop a couple of blocks away, and Largo di Torre Argentina has trams to Trastevere (as well as a cat sancutary in the ruins). One and two bedroom apartments, great neighborhood dining (Cul De Sac around the corner is one of our favorites).

check out the best western hotel canada a few blocks away from the termini. we loved it, it has great reviews on trip advisor. we like the location. good luck :):)

I agree with Laurel!! Palazzo Olivia is the place to stay! I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The location was fantastic & the apartment was clean and spacious. They have various sized apartments. You can read the reviews on Trip Advisor but it's really a gem. Have a wonderful time!
