Four of us are going to be in Rome this summer and wondered if anyone has stayed at Hotel Oceania? Is it close enough to most sites that we can walk? Any other recommedations greatly accepted.
Thanks
check out www.easyclicktravel.com because they had some excellent prices for Summer 2009. I just booked the Hotel Artemide for 50 Euro less per night than the hotel's own booking website.
As for the Hotel Oceania you can read lots of reviews for it and other hotels all over the world on TripAdvisor at
we enjoyed our stay at the best western hotel canada,
5 min walk to termini, great american breakfast buffet, free internet acess, free goodies at happy hour in the lounge, nice rooms. check out the reviews on trip advisor. good luck :):)

It seems highly rated at:
As an option, my wife and I just booked this for Easter there.
It got high marks as well and the really nice looking kitchen in each room could really come in handy for 4... save some $.

Hi Sharon, We were in Rome last month and stayed at Hotel Oceania. It is very nice. Our room was a triple, very large and exceptionally clean. It is a 15 minute walk to Termini. We walked to most sites except the Vatican from there. If you buy the Roma Pass, you can get free public transportation to the Vatican, and all around Rome. There is a bus stop and metro a block away. Stefano and his staff have you feeling like part of the family by the time you leave. He told us that about 90% of his customers were referred through Rick, as we were. The use of the internet is also included, not common in Rome. It is a nice safe area too. There is a fabulous panini shop just a few doors down,(3 fresh panini for our lunch ran about 9 to 10E). We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Have fun.
