My wife & I will be in Palermo for about 4 days in September. We would like to stay in a small hotel or pension that is within walking distance to the various sights that make Palermo memorable. I would appreciate any recommendations that you might have. Thank you kindly.

In 2014 I had a great stay at the B&B Bella Vita, and my friend returned in 2015 and it was equally nice. We have stayed twice at the Hotel Politeama, which is in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of many attractions. Also, the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel.

Thank you, rd. Sounds very convenient. However, when I checked on the rates, it appears that the hotel will be closed from Feb. 15 - Sept. 20. Renovation?
