Can anyone recommend a great place to stay in Monterossa for 2 couples? We like the beach but great views with a place to sit outside would be nice also. Or should we stay in another Cinque Terre town?

After trying many places which are all full when we are going this summer we were finally able to get in at Hotel Margherita. It comes highly rated in Travel Advisor, and other people on this site who have stayed there have said it was great. We have stayed before at Hotel Steno which is very nice as is Hotel Pasquale which is right on the water.

Hope you still want some input on hotels in Monterossa. Hotel Steno was great. The owners are wonderful, helpful etc...The hotel is easy to get to, parking is tight but they will park your car for you after you check in. The stairway through the garden, and between two buildings, leads down to the main street. Hotel Steno has a beautiful view but it is not right on the beach like Pasqule ( I think they are owned by the same family as Steno????) The breakfast was more than most places and they even had an ice bucket full of ice for us when we came in from our walks. If only they had Dr. Pepper!!!!
