I will be traveling with 4 friends this summer and we are trying to decide whether to stay in Catania or Taormina for 2 nights? We are on a tight budget. (trying to keep it around 30 Euros per person/per night) Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Stay in Taormina-try Villa Nettuno (www.hotelvillanettuno.it). Wonderful hotel in a great location-there is a bus that goes to Cantania airport about 4 blocks away.

I was just in Catania and Taormina this past Sept. Taormina is much nicer. I stayed at the Hotel Continental. It has a wonderful terrace with views of Mt. Etna on one side and the sea in front of you and most of Taormina below you.
