Amalfi Coast is the best location for your tribe in August?

For sure, it's YOUR trip so you should plan things you and your family will enjoy! I'll just wonder how enjoyable the coast will be when trying to take in activities that aren't about the pool? The heat has been mentioned; the crowds will be thick; public transport will be packed; accommodations will be expensive....
