My husband and I will be taking a cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia) on May 11 and need accommodations in Rome the night before. Any recommendations?

You should have a window for boarding. Guessing it might be 12:30 to 3:00. We tend to board in the last 30 minutes to an hour because it is some much easier and the long lines are gone by that time. It is 45 mins to an 1 15 from Rome depending on the train and another ten min walk to the port entrance. With about 3 trains an hour it mostly a commuter run to Civit.. Hotel Sonya is three blocks from Termini but just for one night, Hotel Contilla is fine. It is only a block south of the south, side entrance to Termini. We have made that run four times. It is easy and convenient to do.
