Accommodations in Milan with parking

Hi! We’ll be traveling to Milan by car in early September. Looking for a place to stay for two nights with parking, preferably free that is not expensive and near a metro station so we can see the sights. It’s our first time in Milan. Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

I won’t ask why you need a car in Milan
Just make sure you know all obout ZTLs.
I understand Milan is one of the worst cities to drive in

Go to booking.com
Use the filters for your needs, location, mparking, budget etc
You can identify hotels that will work for you then book there or go to hotel website and book direct

What is 'not expensive' ? How many is 'we'?

I am 99.99999% certain there is no hotel with 'free parking' that would be practical for using as a base to do tourist stuff in Milan.

Why not drop the car when you arrive in Milan?

Or drop the car in Genoa and train to Milan?
Or drop in Florence and train the remainder of trip?
You won’t need or want a car in Genoa either

Last time I was in a similar situation, we stayed at Hotel Metro, corso Vercelli https://www.hotelmetro.it/. It is close to metro station Wagner (where there is a very good food market, by the way). It is very conveniently located for sightseeing.

The parking place we were supposed to use was https://www.interparkingitalia.it/it-IT/find-parking/Park-Milano-Piemonte/, within easy walking distance. We actually found street parking, so I cannot say anything about the parking itself, except that it is just outside Zone C, for which you need a special permit.

This was in pre-covid days, but double-checking on internet, would still be valid today. And I did not find Milano any more difficult to drive in than other big cities, but then I am used to my chaotic hometown Brussels!!
