Hi everyone! Need some recommendations for a hotel near the airport (MXP) in Milan. We finish the "Village Italy Tour" 5/10/19 and I understand the tour guide helps to coordinate transportation after the tour ends. We would like to leave Lake Orta after breakfast for Milan and get a hotel near the airport for our flight on 5/11/19. I'm sure many of you have 'been there, done that' so I'm hoping for some expert "Rick" advice! Thanks so much.

We always stay at Hotel Villa Malpensa. It has a wonderful dining room and is adjacent to the airport.
Is your flight on 5/11 early in the AM? IF it's later, I'd stay in Milan.
Having said that, my brother and SIL stayed at the Sheraton which is actually in the airport and pronounced it very easy and convenient. I stayed in Milan that night as I was leaving out of Linate, the other Milan airport. When we three left Orta San Giulio by van with another tour couple they came in to Milan with me and my hotel very nicely held THEIR bags even though they were not staying there. We had lunch and spent the afternoon seeing the Duomo and sights around there before they took the Malpensa Express out to the airport.
This tour is such fun! Really a variety of interesting sights and experiences.
