Any suggestions for family of four (kids age 12 and 16) where we can all stay in one room/apartment without having to pay for separate rooms? thanks!
Try venere.com or booking.com or airbnb.com. That's where you'll find lots of apartment listings. I think all three can be filtered to show you only those places that are available for your dates. Happy travels.
thank you I will check them out. Hoping to find some places that someone has actually stayed in...
Just look for family rooms. Most hotels will have family rooms that will handle four easily. Some do not. When we traveled with our sons in that age range we had no trouble finding rooms. However do not even thing about booking a double and sneaking in two kids. Will not work in Europe.
Thanks for the tip. Wouldn't want to make any trouble. :)
In Ortisei (I highly recommend this town in Val Gardena for the Dolomites) I stayed at the Villa Emilia. There were 4 of us and they had a family bedroom for us. But you can find plenty of hotels which will have quad rooms, if you don't want an apartment. You don't need to rent 2 separate rooms, no need at all.
Thank you!
We have booked vrbo's in Rome and Venice for next summer. Rome: http://www.vrbo.com/305032 (someone on this forum recommended) Venice: http://www.vrbo.com/815492ha#reviews
