Does anyone have any suggestions for hotel accommodations with a lakeview? There was a mixup with our reservations and now we are without a hotel. I am open to Como and Varenna as well. Also, if you have stayed in Varenna, is it difficult to get to from the airport.

What are your dates? Reason I ask is that Varenna is having some kind of fish festival in September, making it harder to get accommodations during that time. Would you consider Menaggio, across the lake from Varenna? If so let me know, I might have a lead for you.

I stayed at Villa Belvedere at Argegno. It's right on the lake literally and 2 minutes from the ferry stop. Loved it. It's a small family run hotel and is just across the lake from Bellagio.

Carmella - try Alberghetto La Marianna in Cadenabbia (directly across from Bellagio on the western shore of the lake). Have fun

We stayed at the Hotel Belvedere in Bellagio a few years ago and it was excellent...lakeviews from the back of the hotel and pool area...very nice small hotel ...it was about a 10 minute walk uphill from the village...
