We plan to visit Monte Cassino in mid-July and wonder if anyone has recommendations for somewhere really nice to stay fairly nearby. There seem to be very few options inland between Rome and the town of Cassino. There are nice hotels on the coast but apparently that area if terribly crowded in the summer. Any suggestions are welcome.
