My family and I will be in Monterosso for 2 nights in early June next year and was wondering if anyone has stayed at Il Portico? We are trying not to spend too much money as we are in Europe for 7 weeks. The prices quoted seem more reasonable than much of the rest of the accommodation available - is there a reason for that? I have looked at some of the accommodation recommended on other threads and they are way out of our budget. Il portico is 280 euro for 2 nights for a quad room.
I'm not familiar with Il Portico so can't offer any comments. You could have a look at some of the other lodgings on THIS list as you may be able to find another one that fits your budget better. I always like to check Trip Advisor reviews as well. For travel in June, I'd recommend booking well in advance!
I am a big fan of Booking. com because you cannot review a property unless you have stayed there. On Booling.com Il Portico gets rave reviews. If this is the right place, €280 for 2 nights sounds like a great price!
Have you looked on Airbnb or VRBO? I booked a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment in Monterosso for my family of 4 for $235 a night at the end of June through Airbnb. We've stayed in many Airbnb and VRBO listings over the years and have always had a great experience.
