We stayed once at Hotel Mario’s https://www.hotelmarios.com/ and were very happy. Very Italian-charming, not fancy but clean and very nice service,

In 2018, I stayed at the Hotel Rivoli. It's a five minute walk to the train station and a short walk to the major sights.
