Accommodation between Venice and Florence

hello!

I had some awesome replies here before so I thought I would ask for a hand again.

I have booked all accommodation for our Italy trip this May except for Friday May 17th. I am having difficulty finding availability within our budget for a 2 person room (we would like to stay close to $150 CAD per a night) in Venice, we already have the 2 prior nights booked in Venice but the Friday was sold out. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to stay outside of the city, or if there is somewhere between Venice and Florence we could head to for the evening/morning as our original plan was to leave for Florence on Saturday.

If not already doing so, try something like booking.com and apply the filter for 100euro or less. If nothing suitable comes up, Padua and Bologna are on the route to Florence.

I’d also recommend Padova or Bologna because both are interesting and on the direct train route to Firenze. Last September I stayed at the Hotel Al Santo in Padova (€85 per night) and in Bologna at Alberto Centrale (€80). Both were in the center near the attractions. Good breakfasts, would definitely stay in either hotel again.
