My family and I are travelling to Italt for the first time. We have a reservation in Lucca but would like to find another more reasonably priced (less than $1000canadian) small villa or resort with a pool.
Any ideas are welcome!

Is that a budget for a week? To sleep how many people? Rick's hotel recommendations are all in his Italy guidebook, including some agriturismo in Tuscany, but he doesn't cover villa rentals. Google "villa rentals in Lucca" you will came up with a lot of sites that should provide you with some alternatives.
