Has anyone done any of the cooking/wine tours from Accdidental tourist out of Florence? What was your experience, or what have you heard?
I did the cooking class in May of last year. It was a fun day. I was staying in Greve so I met the minivan outside of Florence and joined the group from there. We went to a villa for the tour of the winery and cellar and then went to another place for the actual tasting. Enzo was our leader and he is great. Then the cooking and hiking people wnet to a farmhouse in the hils for our lesson. We made three types of pasta stuffed with ricotta and spinach. The fresh pasta was cooked upstairs by a cook and we had a big lunch of antipasti, our pasta, and dessert.
Then we were called into another room to pay and asked if we were satisfied with teh experience. It is not a formal cooking class in a modern kitchen if that is what you are looking for.

Was it worth it? I e-mailed them and have not heard back about the difference betwen the 1/2 day and full day class as far as the schedule goes. I wasn't planning to go to Florence but couldn't fine a cooking class out of Milan so I am considering going to Florence after my RS tour.
