I went to the Accademia website to purchase our tickets for early September and every time slot is sold out for every day we are in Florence. Are there any other options? I’m sick that my indecision on date/time has landed us here. Any advice is welcome.
You can try to queue, but it may be a very long queue.
You can book a FirenzeCard. It's expensive but it gets you into a lot of places for free.
You can book a tour. Walks of Italy and Liv offer tours that are similar in cost to the FirenzeCard.
You can try you luck on the reseller sites (Viator, GetYourGuide, Tiqets, etc), but make sure whoever you buy from has a lot of good, real reviews.
Thanks, I’ll look into the tours. I looked at Firenze card but if I’m understanding correctly would still need to make a reservation for entry time which is unavailable. Am I wrong on that?
Beware of this ticket seller

I don't know your exact dates, but GetYourGuide seems to have availability every day in early September.
FirenzeCard has a separate allocation from the main public sale. It looks like you can call and get a reservation before you've purchased your card. https://www.firenzecard.it/en/faqs
This same thing happened to us while trying to see The Last Supper in Milan. We booked a Viator tour and we did a walk around town then did go to see The Last Supper. Good luck. I hope you get in.
I’ll call the Firenze card to ensure availability on our dates; if not I’ll give the getyourguide a shot. Really appreciate this group’s input. You are all wonderful. Safe travels to all!
Get Your Guide is a third party reseller
See if you can find the actual tour company (read all thru the listing) and book with the tour company
As I recall, even with the Firenze card, you still have to make a time slot reservation for the Accademia. Good luck!
Happy to report lots of reservation options utiliziing the Firenzecard. We are all set for Accedemia and Uffizi! Thanks for saving our Florence trip. Grateful for all the helpful suggestions; hope I can pass on insights in the future. Ciao!
