On the Accademia Gallery website, it says there is no admission cost. But other sites are selling tickets for 16+ Euros. I live in the US. Do you know if there is a ticket fee? Also, should we reserve a time now?
Check the Gallieries website again. It shows tickets are 6.50 euros. Booking fee (optional reservation) is 3.00 euros.
If you click on Free admission, it lists who get in free, namely EU citizens under 18 and over 65, etc.
Hi Emily
There is an admission charge. I would suggest that you book a time now. I tried last night and the time in April that we will be in Florence was fully booked. However, I emailed our hotel and they replied back shortly after with three tickets and a reserved entry time. 10.50 euros each ticket. Good luck.
Aha. Thanks so much!
Thanks David and William. I cannot see where you buy tickets directly from the museum. I am going to http://www.firenzemusei.it/00_english/accademia/index.html
Can you tell me which website you use?
Thanks again.
I went to www.b-ticket.com.
The website claimed not to have any availability for April 23 - 25 so I emailed our hotel and they arranged a time for us.
There is also a phone number to call. If you have Rick's book the phone number is on page 376 of his Italy book.
