Has anyone used the online reservation system at www.firenzemusei.it? I am trying to reserve for the Accademia and there are three prices. 12, 8, and 4 euro. Which one do I select? I will not have a Firenze Card.

It's probably the 12-euro ticket you need. This website, while not officially connected to the Accademia, gives what seems to be a lucid explanation of the discount structure: http://www.accademia.org/plan-your-visit/admission-tickets/ . If you don't fall in one of the listed categories, it's €12. If you think you do qualify for a discount, spend some time Googling to find the official info on the Accademia website before buying a discounted ticket. You don't want to find yourself with a ticket you are not allowed to use.

This is the OFFICIAL ticketing website for the Uffizi and Accademia:

Click the text "Buy your tickets" under each museum you wish to purchase tickets for and choose a date and open time slot. If you are purchasing tickets for adults (age 18 or over), you want to choose "Full" price.
