Academia and Uffizi Gallery question

We have a food tour planned until 1:30pm on one of the days we will be in Florence. Will we have enough time in the afternoon to visit Academia and Uffizi both? We were wanting to use the RS audio tour as our guide. Also included would be getting from Academia to Uffizi...most likely walking there...
Thanks so much for your advice

You can do this on a day when the Uffizi is open fairly late. Academia with a reserved entry can take about an hour -- all you really need to see is David but even with a reservation it can take a bit of time to get in. (I know there is other interesting art there, but this poster doesn't have time for that) You need at least 3 hours in the Uffizi and should get a reserved ticket entry. I would reserve the Academia at say 12 pm and the Uffizi at 2:30 assuming it is open till 6 or so. It is a short walk between them; google map it. And there is a good place for granite and gelato quite near Academia so grab a goody on your way. Sometimes even small group tours take a bit longer than scheduled. I would not plan on any entry time before 2:30. It's about 15 minutes' walk from the Accademia to the Uffizi, so check for late hours for one or the other.

I would suggest an afternoon entry for the Uffizi, and a morning entry for the Accademia the following day. There are many beautiful sculptures and paintings at the Accademia, but it is small and you can see quite a bit in 1-2 hours.
