A week between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany

Hi brains trusts

Looking for some advice on best location to stay to tackle all of the things we would love to experience on our trip.

We are currently looking at 4 nights in Parma where we may do a day trip up to Milan (had attempted to stay there but incredibly expensive when we are going), a food tour of Parmigiano Reggiano producer and Modena for Balsamic Vinegar and a day trip to Bologna. We are wondering whether we do Florence day trip from here or head to Tuscany, which is where we are stuck with where to stay.

We are travelling with our 5 year old daughter who wants to go to Pisa, we really love Montepulciano wines and and wanting to stay in a farm stay that is located centrally enough to go up to Florence (if we don't go from Parma), Pisa and Siena. We're looking at 3 nights in Tuscany.

Any advice on proposed itinerary and recommendation as to where to stay in Tuscany are greatly appreciated.

Cheers

KC

Thanks Miucca for your advice. I don't think she would actually like to climb it she just wants to see it as she has heard a lot about it.

We will actually be coming from Venice to Parma in mid April. It will Easter in that week we are looking at Parma and Tuscany then head down to Rome.
