Plans are for three nights in Alba with tours and tastings and then a two night splurge at a glorious inn or agriturismo. Could be still in the Langhe or on the way back to Malpensa…Casale, Nizza, or further north.In a small village. or not with resto, pool, etc. already checked La Villa Hotel in Mombaruzzo…booked.

Not sure if this qualifies as a "splurge", or if it would be too close to Alba to fit into your plans, but we stayed in Tenua Barac in 2019 and LOVED it. It's a family-run winery (with excellent wine) and the scenery is glorious.
