Is anyone aware of a pool for lap swimming (preferable outdoors: I know asking troppo) in Roma please? Anyone know concrete information on this. Thanks very much in advance! Grazie!

I could help with Venice from personal experience, but not Rome. However, if you look on Google or Apple Maps, satellite view, for “piscina” or “swimming pools” there are many of them, all over. Names like Piscina della Rose, San Francesco Nuoto, Piscina Sporting Ostiense, and about 50 more. Some will be indoors and many will be private clubs, but may allow visitors for a fee. Also some hotel pools are available to non-guests for a fee (but most are not long enough for real lap swimming).
Most of the website will be in Italian only. Note that caps are likely required, including for men, and usually also shower sandals.
