A dumb question about luggage storage......

I'm going to reserve a locker for luggage storage so that I don't have to stand in line. Is it better to over-estimate how long you need that locker for, or under-estimate. If I ask for 4 hours of storage time but it ends up to be 5 hours, do they fine you or just add on that extra hour?

THANKS in advance!!

I’m not sure that every luggage storage facility operates in the same manner. Perhaps you could let us know where you plan to store your luggage.

All the timed places I've used charge you on the way out based on how long you stored your stuff like timed parking. But any place can be different from others.
Where specifically are you considering?

I need some storage for a few hours in Milan. I had read that there was storage inside Central station in Milan (Milan Centralia) on the ground level by the shopping gallery. It is called Kipoint (Kbag).

I had clicked on many, many links, so maybe I had clicked on a storage off-site? BUT, the site I was on asked if I wanted small, medium or large storage & then how many hours, so that is why I was questioning about the estimate of time.

THANKS again for all of your advice!! It IS appreciated!!

In every left-luggage storage I've used, they usually want to know the amount of time you will need. However, if your luggage overstays that time, they just tack on an extra hour (or whatever is needed). I've never heard of being fined for lateness.
