My daughter is doing a study abroad next semester in Florence and Paris. I'm visiting her in March and we will have a free weekend to visit somewhere enroute from Florence to Paris. Any suggestions?
Venice, although it may be a bit chilly. Of course, you see, that's my preference. Because we know absolutely nothing about you or your daughter or your preferences other than "somewhere enroute from Florence to Paris" we are limited in what to suggest.
How about Provence?
Thanks for the feedback. We're considering Switzerland---anyone have experience with Luzern or Bern?
With budget European airlines, it's best to fly from Florence to Paris. You could take the time and spend it either in Florence or Rome. An alternative would be to take a train up to Lake Como area. You'd just be 45 minutes from Milan, and you could fly to Paris from there. If you have time, just rent a car and ramble through the incredible countryside on the Swiss border.
