Will I need an adapter for every electronic thing that needs to be charged, or can I take one adapter and a power strip? Cheryl

You might get away with it but I wouldn't recommend it as the power strip is designed for 110 not 220. Depending on the circuitry it just might blow. Besides the adapters don't take up much space and are cheap. ANd also, if your one adapter breaks, which they are prone to do, you'd be up a creek.

Check the specs on your plugs -- if they all say 110 - 220/240 (like most newer electronics) you should need only an adapter and not a converter. I am planning to do exactly as you are, only with a very short extension cord.
